Privacy policy

Rhia Skin is operated by Neurex Technologies, Inc. ("Rhia Skin," "we," "us," or "our"). Right now rhiaskin.com offers a waitlist only: we are not taking orders or payments. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect when you visit rhiaskin.com (the "Website") or join the waitlist, and what we do with it.
This policy covers the Website only. The Website does not collect, upload, or analyze skin images or skin measurements. Data created with the Rhia Skin scanner or app will be covered by a separate notice, presented before that data is collected.
1. Who is responsible for your information
Neurex Technologies, Inc. is the business responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
2. What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist.
- How you found us: if you arrive through one of our links (for example, a link shared with one of our videos), we record which link it was with your sign-up.
- Email activity: whether you open or click our emails, and whether you unsubscribe.
- Device and usage information, collected automatically when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, approximate location derived from IP address, pages viewed, referral source, timestamps, and cookie identifiers.
Please do not send us medical information, skin images, or other sensitive personal information.
3. How we use it
- to add you to the waitlist and send you waitlist emails, including a welcome email and news about Rhia Skin, such as when orders open;
- to understand which links and content bring people to the waitlist;
- to operate, secure, and improve the Website and prevent abuse; and
- to comply with legal obligations.
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar law applies, our legal bases are consent (for waitlist emails, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Website and understand how people find it, where those interests are not overridden by your rights), and legal obligation.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information for money. We share it only as needed to run the Website and the waitlist:
- Klaviyo, which stores the waitlist and sends our emails. Klaviyo's script on the Website may use cookies to recognize visits from people on the waitlist.
- Shopify, which hosts the Website and processes usage information through its own cookies and analytics.
- Professional advisers and authorities, where necessary for legal, tax, accounting, or security purposes.
- A buyer or successor, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Shopify Network Intelligence is currently enabled for the Website. Shopify may use information about your interactions with the Website, Shopify, and other Shopify merchants to provide enhanced analytics, personalization, and advertising services. Under some U.S. state laws, this may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising." You can opt out through our Data Sharing Opt-Out page. You can learn more in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and exercise rights concerning Shopify's own processing through the Shopify Privacy Portal.
5. Cookies
Shopify and Klaviyo use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies. Some are necessary to run the Website; others help us measure visits and recognize people on the waitlist. Where required, non-essential technologies are used only after you consent. You can use any cookie-preference control shown on the Website, adjust your browser settings, or use our Data Sharing Opt-Out page. Where applicable, we treat a valid Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising for that browser or device.
6. Your choices
Every waitlist email has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave the waitlist at any time. You can also ask us to delete your information by emailing us (see section 10).
7. How long we keep it
We keep your email address while you are on the waitlist. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we delete it, keeping only a minimal record of your opt-out so we do not email you again. Usage information is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above.
8. Where it is stored
Your information is primarily stored in the United States. Shopify, Klaviyo, and other providers may process it in additional countries. Where required, we rely on recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.
9. Security
We use reasonable measures designed to protect personal information. No system or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:
- request access to or a copy of your personal information;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request deletion of your information;
- receive your information in a portable format;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing;
- opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising;
- appeal a refusal of a privacy request where applicable; and
- lodge a complaint with your local data-protection or privacy authority.
To exercise a right, email contact@neurex.tech with the subject line "Privacy Request." We may need to verify your identity. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may ask for proof of authorization. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. If we deny an appealable request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line.
11. Children
The Website is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has joined the waitlist, contact us and we will delete their information.
12. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our practices change, for example when orders open. We will post the revised policy here and change the "Last updated" date.
